AUGUST AMES - CANADIAN PORN ACTRESS WHO COMMITTED SUICIDE | SANKTOR

Mercedes Grabowski (August 23, 1994 – December 5, 2017), known professionally as August Ames, was a Canadian porno actress. She appeared in more than 100 films, including a non-pornographic film in 2016, and was nominated for several AVN AWARDS. 

AUGUST AMES entered the porno industry in November of 2013. She grew up in an army family, therefore living in several different places throughout Canada. She is of Polish descent.

Adult film actress who won Cutest Newcomer at the 2015 AVN Awards. She was also nominated in two other categories. Before that she worked as a bartender and at a tanning salon.

With a self-disclosed history of sexual abuse and mental illness, Ames died by suicide in 2017 at the age of 23 after a social media backlash following a tweet she posted, due to some perceiving the tweet as homophobic. 

August Ames alleged that she was routinely sexually molested by her paternal grandfather as a child, but her father refused to believe her and she was sent to live in a group home at 12 years old. She also spoke of being enticed to strip by an adult male as a young teenager in exchange for drugs. 

August Ames was married to Kevin Moore, a pornography producer and director for Evil Angel .

On December 5, 2017, August Ames was found dead in a park in Camarillo, California at the age of 23. Her death was ruled a suicide due to asphyxia by hanging. Upon her autopsy, toxicology results revealed that she had cocaine, marijuana, Zoloft and Xanax in her system at her time of death.
